La mayoría de las asociaciones empresariales están constituidas, principalmente, por empresas de un sector económico determinado y tienen como objetivo afrontar conjuntamente aquellos aspectos que puedan representar puntos críticos para dicho sector de actividad. Con este propósito y a través de actividades de formación, participando en publicaciones, fomentando la creación de sinergias y colaboraciones entre sus miembros, generando grupos de influencia que ayudan a preservar la honradez de la industria y encargándose de las relaciones públicas, logran que su sector de pertenencia sea más competitivo, se desarrolle con mayor eficacia y contribuya a aportar soluciones que apoyen y hagan progresar a la industria y a todos sus asociados.
Con este enfoque, en 1997 se funda la «Asociación Profesional de Empresas Medioambientales – APROEMA», asociación empresarial sin ánimo de lucro, de ámbito autonómico. Surge como iniciativa de un grupo de empresarios del sector ambiental en Galicia, con el propósito de coordinar, defender, asesorar y representar los legítimos derechos de sus asociados y como un foro de debate abierto en defensa del medio ambiente.

Difundimos las últimas noticias del sector, lo cual es clave para predecir tendencias, conocer nuevos productos y conseguir lo realmente relevante para la industria. A través de las redes sociales, el Boletín electrónico semanal y el área reservada de nuestra web nuestros asociados se mantienen al día.
En la actualidad las empresas ambientales se ven regidas por el contexto global en el que desarrollan su actividad. Por eso, deben tener a su disposición información de calidad relacionada con su sector, lo que proporcionará oportunidades de negocio y facilitará herramientas para afrontar las oportunidades o amenazas de negocio; factores clave para la toma de decisiones de la empresa.
Para reforzar todo lo que se lleva haciendo, y con motivo del 20 aniversario de Aproema, nace GALIAMBIENTAL publicación que tiene como objetivo principal difundir y expresar de manera profesional y especializada la actualidad relacionada con el medio ambiente en Galicia. Creando, así, una herramienta que permitirá a las empresas del sector estar al día con la actualidad, artículos, reportajes, agenda de eventos, guía de empresas, entre otros.
LOS GRUPOS DE TRABAJO DINAMIZAN EL SECTOR Y MEJORAN CONDICIONES REGULATORIAS
Gracias a la participación en organizaciones como la CEOE, el Consello Galego de Medioambiente, la Confederación de Empresarios de Galicia, entre otras, aportamos visión y experiencia para los nuevos marcos legislativos. También lideramos la creación de Grupos de Trabajo propios a través de los cuales se siguen de cerca las decisiones políticas y se aporta la opinión de los asociados, trabajando a favor o en contra de leyes que pueden ser beneficiosas o perjudiciales para el sector. Esto es fundamental cuando existen iniciativas políticas que pueden afectar en gran medida a las empresas.
A través del acceso a las leyes más recientes y a aquellas previstas para el futuro, los asociados pueden anticiparse a los cambios necesarios y nuevas exigencias, dar su opinión y preparar acciones específicas para combatir regulaciones que podrían tener un grave efecto en el sector.
APROEMA participa activamente en el Grupo de Medio Ambiente de la Confederación Española de Organizaciones Empresariales (CEOE); en el Consello Galego de Medio Ambiente de la Consellería de Medio Ambiente e Ordenación do Territorio (CMAOT); y en todas aquellas mesas donde se debatan temas medioambientales en la Confederación de Empresarios de Galicia (CEG) y Confederación de Empresarios de Pontevedra (CEP)
Los objetivos de la creación de grupos internos se basan en:
Acercar la Asociación a los intereses reales y prioridades de sus miembros.
Gestionar los problemas que puedan afectar a grupos específicos de interés, de forma eficiente, directa y focalizada.
Generar ideas y proyectos desde la base del consenso y que repercutan en la mejora de la proyección social de los sectores específicos y de APROEMA.
Desde Aproema se entiende que es fundamental la participación de los asociados en estos grupos, ya que a través de ellos:
Se resuelve problemas puntuales de índole territorial o temático..
Se elaboran propuestas de servicios nuevos para la Asociación.
Se promueven, de forma grupal o mediante campañas, servicios novedosos o de difícil introducción en el ámbito ambiental.
Se desarrollan proyectos colaborativos.
Se produce una interlocución válida y técnicamente bien fundamentada ante organismos públicos.
Se participa, de forma directa, en consultas públicas de nueva legislación ambiental.
IMAGEN, SINÓNIMO DE CONFIANZA
Pertenecer a APROEMA es sinónimo de confianza. Las empresas del sector ambiental deben proyectar, a sus clientes y a la sociedad en general, una imagen positiva. La pertenencia a APROEMA, es la certificación de una realidad empresarial determinada, basada en la aplicación de las mejores prácticas sectoriales y la persecución de objetivos de difusión y valor social. Para ello, se realizan comunicaciones en medios, se generan noticias, se desarrollan acciones de formación e información que promuevan la toma de conciencia respecto a la importancia de los principios de protección y cuidado del medio ambiente, tanto en la industria como en la sociedad en su conjunto.
